Maxx 1000 will not update through rs cable? Empty Maxx 1000 will not update through rs cable?

Hi to all.No matter how i try to update the receiver through rs cable i find the uploader,when port connects,just gives a blank box and hangs there.Any ideas why this is.Many thanks in advance

make sure reciever is switched off when uploading then switch on when you see blank box wait for upload to finish do not disconnect rs232 lead!

Hi - Have you used the cable before? If not, are you sure that it is a null modem cable?

hi falcone ,

to upload you have to use serial port Cable both sides are Female not a modem Cable ...
just connect one side to receiver and the second one in your computer or laptop and use software for upload ..

Yes both 9 pin connectors are female but, unless I'm having one of those Monday morning moments on a Tuesday, the cable need to be connected as a "null modem" cable.
